I have been immersed in South American shamanism since 2011. My journey led me to spend time in the Peruvian Amazon jungles, and later, I had the privilege of meeting my Peruvian shamanic teacher here in the United States. My initial encounter with this path occurred in 2011, driven by curiosity. Surprisingly, my very first ceremony did not yield any extraordinary visions or experiences. However, to my amazement, a specific health and energy problem that had plagued me for a couple of years vanished just three days after the ceremony. Within two weeks, I shed a significant amount of extra weight and felt considerably lighter. It was at this point that I realized I had discovered a new kind of doctor. Since that time, I have been participating in ceremonies approximately every six months. This shamanic work has become an integral part of my personal care and health support. After practicing for two years, I had the fortune of meeting a highly experienced shaman with whom I currently work. Since then, these ceremonies have become a wellspring of knowledge for me. During these transformative experiences, I encounter visions and undergo experiences that enrich my creativity and provide me with meaningful insights and ideas. As an example, during one ceremony, I had a vision of the interplay between feminine and masculine energies, revealing the stages through which creative processes manifest. I have since used this profound experience to design seminars that combine awareness practices with creativity. In October, I had the honor of being invited by my friend Danesh to assist in a retreat led by the renowned Colombian shaman, Taita Juan. Through the ceremonies with Taita Juan, I underwent a profound transformation in my physical health, energy, and emotional stability. Working with Taita Juan allowed me to connect with a powerful lineage of ancient shamanic masters. During the ceremonies, I felt this lineage as a mighty stream of love and compassion flowing through me. With this unstoppable energy of love, I journeyed through the history of my life, identifying moments where I had lacked love and attention. From this empowered state, I was able to fill many dark voids within my inner realms. I can unequivocally state that this practice has brought about a profound change within me. The healing work with Taita Juan has anchored me more deeply in my personal power and inner light. The person who guides the ceremony matters greatly. Taita Juan is a unique healer, having been trained by his grandparents since childhood. Today, he is a renowned traditional doctor, a lineage holder of the Camesta tradition, and a compassionate, attentive elder.
