The Birth of the Magician

In December, we came together to celebrate the transition of the Solstice. I deeply appreciated that experience and still feel how the energy of that ritual has been supporting me through the cold winter months.

In the spring, on the day of the Equinox, I invite you to gather again for a ceremonial journey — “The Birth of the Magician.”

This will be a shared, living ritual, co-created by the facilitators and the community.

The Archetype of Initiation

The idea of being reborn into a new quality within life is ancient.

Initiation as a rite of passage is a timeless archetype, deeply embedded in our psyche. It continues to work powerfully when the right conditions are created.

What do we mean by “The Birth of the Magician”?

- Knowing your unique talents and inner power — and learning how to use them for the benefit of yourself, your loved ones, the community, and the Earth

- Acting from a creative flow — from joy, kindness, and inspiration

- Becoming an inspiring presence, able to guide and support others

- Living at your personal peak — in health, energy, presence, and charisma

What Awaits Us

11:00 – Opening Circle

Arrival, meeting one another, and setting intentions together.

12:00 – Introduction: The Perinatal Matrices

An introduction to the theory of the four Basic Perinatal Matrices (BPM I–IV) as described by Stanislav Grof.

Grof identified these deep psychological structures as forming during pregnancy and birth, based on his research into altered states of consciousness, psychedelics, and Holotropic Breathwork.

13:00 – 16:00 – Rebirth Ritual

Somatic and community-based practices that create conditions for re-experiencing and symbolically re-shaping the birth process.

This “new birth” opens the possibility of relating to the world as a friendly and welcoming place — not a space of constant struggle, but one of learning, care, and celebration.

A world where each person has a unique calling and a rightful place, where their individuality is welcomed and needed.

17:00 – 19:00 – Singing & Sound Circle with Aliya

New Birth Celebration

At the close of the Rebirth Ritual, we will gather in a Singing Circle — a sacred, non-judgmental space to explore the voice as both a personal and collective instrument.

Through vocal improvisation, playful sound-making, intuitive movement, breath, and silence, we will gently unlock our voices without pressure to sound “right” or “beautiful.”

Together we will create a living voice orchestra — weaving tones, rhythms, and presence into something shared, something greater than the sum of its parts.

Rooted in ancient traditions of singing around the fire, this circle reminds us:

voice is not for performance — it is for healing, remembering, and connection.

When we sing together, something shifts — within us and between us.

Here, sound becomes community.

Expression becomes medicine.
